Chamonix aprés ski and nightlife

Chamonix is a year round  destination with a reputation that

attracts visitors all around the world. It’s this variety which makes the town so different and fun.

For immediate après-ski, try the Chamouny, the Brasserie du Rond Point and the Irish Coffee. In spring the outdoor tables in the center of town fill up with skiers. La Cabolée attracts skiers coming down Le Brévent. For basic bars head to the Bumble Bee and Mill Street.

Chambre Neuf—Opposite the station is a great après-ski hangout, with cheap beer and live music, and Scandinavians in party mood!

Cantina
has regular break-beat, hip-hop, ragga and dub nights.  Dicks T-Bar is open to 4 a.m. with a range of music and one-off nights  The Garage, in Chamonix Sud, - weirdly French/Scan Disco with a touch of late night lingerie.  Other good spots are Ice Rock Café The Blue is excellent, with occasional live jazz or country & Western. Le Pèle disco is large, loud and packed with teenagers.

For those who want a quiet, civilised drink, the Cocktail Bar of the Hotel Mont Blanc, which sometimes has live piano music, can be recommended.

Up in Argentiere the Office Bar is the unchallenged centre of all après-ski activity, but there are also a number of other bars.

The entire street of the Rue du Moulin is a host to a number of bars and restaurants. Many are run by ex-pats from the UK (hence the nickname) and some Swedes who have English as their main 2nd language. There are many bars to check out if you are looking to party in a loud nightclub (many with live DJs on weekends). Crowds are very young - especially in winter season. The Expedition - modern lounge/bar - good ventilation!
The Queen Vic - true to the name, an English style pub w/TV screen - sometimes broadcasting football, rugby etc..
Bar'd Up - rustic bar/lounge with TV screens, tables, couches & some outdoor seating Cy Bar & Bar du Moulin (downstairs) - combo cyber cafe cum techno disco at night. The more intimate Bar du Moulin can get quite crowded.
