Brévant/Flégère: Located on the sunny side of the valley, these linked areas offer a wide range of skiing and boarding.  In addition to blue and red runs, the area offers some exciting off-piste routes in sunny "couloirs" (gullies). Ski or ride with a "front row" view of the magnificent Sea of Ice "Mer de Glace" as well as the Mont Blanc chain.

Grands Montets:  This renowned area opens up some of the best off-piste terrain you can find.  Book a Guide to  experience real high mountain skiing such as the famous "couloir des poubelles" and "Pas de Chèvre" routes. This is a great place for free riders.

Le Tour:  This domain is best suited for beginner to intermediate levels. It is a vast area with lots of sun and snow cover.  Le Tour has one of the best snow records in Europe, with some great powder fields off the back—making it a great favourite for snowboarders!

Aiguille du Midi: Attracting a mix of skiers, sightseers and climbers,  and served by the highest cable cars in Europe, this opens up spectacular views of Alps, including a close-up of Mont Blanc. The famous "La Vallée Blanche" 20 kilometre descent starts from here. Solid intermediate skiers can take the classic route. For advanced and expert skiers there are more challenging variations of "La Vallée Blanche" and other off-piste itineraries. A high mountain guide can direct you to the routes most suited to your abilities and experience as well as the weather conditions of the day. Please note: These descents take a few hours of skiing at high altitudes.

Les Houches:  This is a good area for beginner to intermediate levels. Many trails pass through the forest.   You can see all the front trails from our kitchen! Not on the Cham Pass

Ski Areas

There’s no doubt that Chamonix offers tremendous scope for all levels of skiing and boarding ability, over its four main areas. Choose from two passes, the Chamonix Pass or  Mont Blanc Vallee Pass. This pass opens up the possibilities of the whole of the Mont Blanc Vallee Region. From the Italian Ski team's practice site, Megeve, to the extreme skiing capital of Argentiere, all is accessible on a single pass.
